Stuttgart is in "advanced negotiations" for a transfer of of Manchester United striker Federico Macheda, says the player's agent.
Teams from La Liga and Serie A are also interested in the Italian, whose contract expires in June 2014, but the Germans are most likely to attract the 21-year-old.
"We are in advanced stage with Stuttgart. Negotiations are going well, "agent Giovanni Bia revealed.
"He is a player who is liked by many clubs. Two Spanish, for example, seek to intervene. There are Italian teams from Siena to Bologna and others, but I think Sir Alex Ferguson wants to send him to a foreign club outside the peninsula. "
"He will join the club for rent with option to purchase when his contract expire in June 2014," added the agent.
Macheda joined United in 2008 and had a great role in winning the title in 2009, scoring the winning goal in stoppage time against Aston Villa, but he did not have and was letting on rent in Sampdoria and QPR.
