Buffon: Celtic deserve our respect 13.02.2013

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has expressed his respect from rival teams from the 1/8-finals of the Champions League. The Old Lady wins with 3:0 Celtic in the first leg of the clash, which was played in Glasgow.

The guard, however, said after the meeting that the Scottish team must be given due respect, regardless of the outcome.

Alessandro Matri scoring, Claudio Marchisio and Mirko Vucinic helped Bianconeri have secured a comfortable lead before the second leg, which is scheduled for March 6.

"Celtic is a great team and they showed it tonight," said Buffon told reporters after the match.

"We are still continuing. It is not good for us to relax. We need to stay focused and continue to respect Celtic because they deserve it, "said Buffon.
