Joaquin Sanchez is now officially a player of Fiorentina, confirmed the Italian club. 31-year-old has passed medical examinations and completed negotiations for the new contract.
The former Spanish international became the first player who left Malaga after the team was finally thrown out of the European tournaments for the next 12 months.
"Football club Fiorentina and Malaga together announced that they have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Joaquin Sanchez Rodriguez," reads the message on the website of "Violets".
Joaquin has not stamped his contract, but it is believed that in a few hours and this will happen.
The veteran has played 45 games for Malaga last season, scoring 8 goals in all competitions (La Liga, Champions League and Copa del Rey). Against his name Sanchez has 56 appearances for the Spanish national team.
