Another Celtic star will go to Premier League

12.11.2013

The management of Celtic is about to part with another key player who will follow Victor Uanyama (Southampton) and Gary Hooper (Norwich City) in the Premier League. With the approaching of the winter transfer window is becoming increasingly unlikely the Scottish giants to keep in his ranks the midfielder Joe Ledley.

Welshman's contract expires at the end of the season and negotiations for its renewal have come to a dead end. They started 2 months ago, but until now, "Celtics" failed to persuade the midfielder, who has 18 goals in 95 games for them to resign.

If the situation did not change until January, then Ledley will be fully authorized to negotiate and conclude a preliminary contract with another team. Interest in him mainly comes from Everton and his former club Cardiff City, but "Parkhead" will almost certainly be forced to sell him in the winter in order not to let him as a free agent at the end of the campaign.

The worse for Celtic is that leaving of a figure as Ledley could derail the ongoing negotiations with the other two major players - the keeper Fraser Forster and the striker Georgios Samaras
