Juan Mata: No mistakes, places in the Champions League are close

10.02.2015

The playmaker of Manchester United's Juan Mata has urged his teammates to minimise false steps from here to the end of the tournament if they want to return in the Champions League next season.

On Sunday the Red Devils barely saved from defeat against West Ham, with only the late hit on Daley Blind RID team with a goal in injury time for a 1:1.
Tomorrow night, Manchester United welcomes Burnley in their old Trafford and will have the confidence from the fact that they have not been beaten at home by this rival for 53 years. Success is more than required, since the fifth Tottenham is already the only point behind players of Louis van Gaal.

'We need to win this fight because the battle for places in the Champions League is very competitive.' said Mata. 'We must take three points at home, we know that and we're working on it. With the help of the people, I'm sure that we will succeed.'

'We are disappointed by the match against West Ham. This was an important match. We could provide a little more peace of mind, but was not meant to be. On Wednesday, waiting for us just another big game and we must win it. After the meeting with West Ham Manager said in the locker room, you can't blame us for the spirit which we have shown.', added Mata.
