FIFA punished former Chairman of the Committee on the selection of the household of World Cup 8.07.2015

The Ethics Committee of the International Football Federation (FIFA) removed from the post of Chairman of the Committee on candidatures for the World Championships by Harold Mayne-Nicholls in football activity for 7 years. Harold Mayne-Nicholls is a former President of the Football Association of Chile. The decision was announced after a hearing of the material on the cases against the choice of Russia and Qatar to host the World Cup in 2018 and 2022 in a year. The hearing also attended by Mayne-Nicholls and the new President of the Commission of ethics of FIFA Cornell Borbeli.
Mayne-Nicholls is one of what the accused in corruption, trading in influence and blackmail in the biggest scandal in FIFA.
