Edvidvin Van der Sar is likely to end his career after the end of the season, confirmed himself to Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson.

Van der Sar has not yet officially declared that it will end with football, but Sir Alex suggests that the goalkeeper will finish his career at the end of the football year in the UK.

"The time has come to accept that this will be the last season of Edwin. We had a talk last season about how he sees his future and nothing has changed since. Edwin is a great keeper and will be difficult to replace," said Sir Alex Ferguson.
