Former milanist go to Bremen 21.07.2011

Central defender Sokratis Papastatopulos Genoa was leased for one year of Bremen with an option to buy. The Greek international, who is 23 years old playing last season at Milan, but participated in only five games.

"This is a young player who has gained experience with Genoa and the Greek national team. I became interested in him after he learned that Milan do not want it anymore. Sokratis will be a good signing for Werder," said sporting director "Bremen Musicians" Klaus Alofs.
