The sentence: Breno will be in prison nearly four years 8.07.2012

The former Bayern Munich defender Breno was sentenced to serve effectively three years and nine months in prison. He was found guilty on charges of arson.

Prosecutors ask for five years and a half, but the court imposed a slightly smaller penalty.

Breno was accused of intentionally set fire to his house in the Munich suburb of Grünwald on September 20 last year. In the fire the damages are about 1 million.

The penalty for this offense is from 1 to 15 years.
