Capello: I am happy and proud, Russia is great country 16.07.2012

The managing head of the Russian Football Union, Nikita Simonyan today announced the appointment of 66-year-old Italian Fabio Capello of head coach of the combined team of Russia.

"I am happy and proud. If anything get in the best way, if anything is right with the combined team of Russia, I will be very glad. This contract may be an excellent challenge for me, because Russia is a great country" said Fabio Capello to the official Italian news agency ANSA.

The contract with Capello will be signed in the coming days and is expected annual salary of the Italian to be 5 million, says the Russian press.
