The English football club Sunderland "close" part of the seats in the stands of their own stadium and took away the seasonal maps of their fans after being entered the new law for compulsory sit during matches.

The rule was clearly in recent months and is the result of growing investigation into incidents involving the tragedy of "Hillsborough" in 1989, when 96 Liverpool supporters found their death in the melee at the stadium. Under the new law, all sections of standing spectators in the top two levels in English football are prohibited.

A photo published on social network Twitter is clearly visible the result of the new rule. The photos show seat of "Stadium of Light", which says: "This seasonal card is stopped due permanently standing by its owner."

"I definitely do not want to spoil the pleasure of our fans, but we also have a legal obligation to obey," said Paul Weir, who is head of security at the stadium.
