Wimbledon Champion Garbie Mougrussa (Spain) qualified for the semi-finals of the Dubai tennis tournament with a prize pool of 734 thousand dollars. Spain`s No. 2 chip leader defeated Caroline Garcia (France) with 7:5, 6:2 for 1:48 hours. For Muguruza, it was a second game within 24 hours after she eliminated Catherine Bellis (USA) 6:3, 7:5 late last night.
The Spanish made four breaks against the fifth in the Garcia chart and once lost her shot. She won the last three games in the second set and finished the match. `It was hard to play two matches in less than 24 hours, but that sort of thing happens and I have to be prepared, ` Mougrussa commented.

In the semi-finals, Spanish will play against Darya Kasatkinna, who in a Russian strike defeated Elena Vesnina with 7:6 (5), 6:1 in 97 minutes. The other semi-final match is among the former number 1 in the world ranking Angelique Kerber (Germany) and defending her title Elina Svitolina (Ukraine).
