Thomas Tuwell has called for domestic championships to start later when there was a European or World Cup in the summer. Senior coach of Pari Saint-Germain explained that the games in July and August are filled with surprises because the nationals are tired and need a longer vacation. Today his team lost 1:5 from Arsenal.
`We all love the world championship and want to watch it, but it has a significant impact on the start of the season and we have to find a solution, for example, to start the season later. ` It does not make sense for the champions to finish in May. or July, `said Paris coach Saint-Germain.
`We all love this game and we want to watch the strongest players, but they also need a break for us, the coaches, too. ` Our task is to protect their health, `he added. `When I was coach of Mainz, we wanted to meet the big teams right after the European or World Cup, we were perfectly prepared for that, we were ready to attack from the first minute, which is why we have strange results in that period. `
