 | | United`s victory over Liverpool will be a sensation, says Sunes20.10.2019 |
Manchester United`s victory against Liverpool will be the biggest surprise in football since Wigan`s success against Manchester City in the FA Cup final in 2013, according to Merseyside legend Graham Swansea.
`If United beat Old Trafford Liverpool today, it will be the biggest surprise in football since losing to City against Wigan in the FA Cup final in 2013. I`m not saying this to create any commotion and notI say it because I am a former Liverpool footballer I say it because all the important factors point to it - the status of key players (Paul Pogba and David De Gea), the clarity in Jurgen Klop`s lineup that does not exist with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, asand the form of the two teams, Liverpool won eight of eight and United only one game awaylast is seven.
`Old Trafford`s situation is tough and visiting such a confident team is the last thing they want. Usually derby players can make money, whatever the difference in classes. You can win with a fight, passion and desire, however, all of these things are not typical of this Manchester United team.
`Look at Liverpool`s starting line-up and try to find the Achilles heel. If Sadio Me doesn`t score, then Mo Salah will do it. Roberto Firmino is at the heart of this attack. His touch and his ball-free game are the engine of this trio. `, he writes in a column in the Sunday Times.
Swansea believes that even less popular Liverpool players play a key role. He added: `Hardly anyone will ever tell their grandchildren that they were fortunate enough to watch Jordan Henderson, Georges Wijnaldum and James Milner live. But these three footballers and their midfielder are also key to Liverpool`s success. `
