Changing the name of Washington Redskins is a mistake and a sign of weakness, says US President Donald Trump. He spoke sharply against the National Football League (NFL) team over the impending rebranding sparked by mass human rights movements in recent months. `In the past, teams were baptized in such a way as to carry a symbol of power with them, not weakness. Now Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians (MLB), two famous sports clubs, will change their names toto be politically correct, `Trump wrote on Twitter. The Redskins (Redskins) have long resisted calls to change the team`s name and logo, as they are considered offensive to the continent`s locals. Now, however, the Washington owner is under pressure from franchise sponsors FedEx, Pepsi and Nike, as well as Black Lives Matter activists.
