 | | Maguire: We will be ready for Leicester, we have no right to apologize24.07.2020 |
Manchester United captain Harry Maguire is looking forward to the final match of the season in the Premier League against his former club Leicester. The match will practically be like a final between the two teams to qualify for the Champions League. The Red Devils only need a draw at King Power Stadium, while the Foxes will have to seek mandatory success.
`This is a big match for them, but also a big match for us. We need to be fresh and fully focused on ourselves. The preparation should start immediately. We need to prepare properly and sleep well. We need towe are fresh so that we can maintain the necessary pace for such a match. At the beginning against West Ham we were fine, but then we lost rhythm. We will be completely ready for Sunday. If you can`t prepare for such a match, then you haven`t chosen the right oneIt`s a huge clash and we only have three days to prepare. With our program lately we only had two days off, so this time it`s better. With this tight program, we don`t have much time for training, so`We are mainly focusing on recovery. It is good that we have three days this time. It is strange that I say that, but it is a fact of this program. We will be ready for Sunday, ` Maguire said.
Manchester United is in a great series of 13 games without a loss in the championship and climbed to 3rd place in the standings. According to the defender, this is an incredible achievement in itself.
`We have a big game ahead of us. Leicester has had a strong season and is in a good position. A few months ago few people believed that we would be able to bridge the gap with them and catch up, but we also had a great series. Disappointingis that we drew with Southampton and West Ham, we deserved to win both games, but we are still in a good position, six months ago it was hard to believe that we would get the chance to go to Leicester and fight for a place inThe Champions League, which has happened now. We will be ready, we have no right to apologize for being tired, `added the captain.
