Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti summed up the match with Rayo Vallecano (2:3).
We knew they played like that. Today they more often won martial arts. It was a bad evening, that`s all.
We should have changed our strategy, but we didn`t and paid the price. And we lost almost all the duels.
Vinicius did not implement two or three points that he usually uses. It was not our best match.
As for the referee, I have no opinion. That`s what VAR is for.
We lack freshness, but that`s normal after so many matches. Now we need to analyze the first half of the season, highlight the good.
We are in the playoffs of the Champions League and we are doing well in La Liga. We need to have a good match against Cadiz, rest and get back to work, ” said Ancelotti.
