Auger-Aliassime on how Toni Nadal prepared him for the match with Rafael: I myself know Rafa, I saw his game. And I played with him 6.12.2022

Felix Auger-Aliassime told what advice Toni Nadal gave him for the match with Rafael. At the final tournament, the Canadian won 6:3, 6:4.

We talk about what I need to do myself. After all, he doesn`t give me. . . I myself know Rafa, I saw his game. And he played with him.

If I play him or Djokovic or just anyone I`ve known for a long time, Fred [Frédéric Fontaine], my coach, gives me statistics from previous matches, tells me what worked, what didn`t work, so that I have a little moreclear understanding.

He did not reveal any secrets that no one knows (smiles). There is nothing special. It`s more important that I give my all and feel like I`ve done my best, win or lose. For him and for our entire team, this is the most important thing.
