Paula Badosa commented on the breakup with Stefanos Tsitsitspas.
Their relationship became known in May 2023.
The last few days have been difficult emotionally, but I`m strong, so I`m trying to cope with everything to the maximum. I`m proud of how I`m getting through this.
When we were doing well individually, our relationship was also good. But at other times we have separate careers, problems, and sometimes it’s better to separate it all.
It reminds me a lot of the story of Maria [Sharapova] and Grigor [Dimitrov]. You meet the right person, but maybe at the wrong time. A bit like this.
We have an excellent relationship. He`s a great guy, I wish him all the best and I know the feeling is mutual.
A lot of people support me - my family, team, friends. I even feel support from his family and team. They are all very kind to each of us.
In the end, nothing bad happened. It`s just life.
We will still continue to see each other on tour. You never know what might happen in the future.
