Novak Djokovic spoke about how motivated he is to record the most Grand Slams.
– Of course, I am interested in winning as many Grand Slam tournaments as possible. At this point in my career, they are the biggest motivational factor for why I am still performing. This is not even discussed.
I`ve never liked comparing myself to others, but it is certainly a privilege to be involved in the debate about the greatest player of all time. If people consider me that way, it is of course very flattering because I know that I put in as much effort and energy as anyone else.
I still have a lot of motivation. Let`s see how far this takes me. I really don`t want to stop there. I have no such intention. I like my tennis. I know that when I feel good mentally and physically, I can beat any opponent and win any tournament.
I`m optimistic about the future, but I don`t take anything for granted. Of course, there are many players who want to win this tournament and become No. 1.
I have been in similar situations many times, and these experiences always help me keep my mind sane and know what lies ahead.
I don’t know how many more years and Grand Slams I can play, it depends on many factors, not only on my physical condition. I think for me personally, the support and love of loved ones and the ability to maintain a balance between tennis and personal life and psychological stability in the pursuit of these titles are especially important.
Physically I can keep myself in shape. Of course, 35 is not 25, but I still have time. Let`s see how far I go.
