Panarin on the Rangers: Everyone does what they can to win. I do backchecks. Did you see the game with Vegas? 14.07.2024

Artemi Panarin focused on developing his defensive game.

Everyone does what they can to win. I do backchecks. Did you see the last match [with Vegas]?

It`s important to me when I feel I`m playing well, not when the media talks about it. Because I can`t fool myself. Although sometimes, maybe I can, ” said the Rangers striker.

We joke a lot about how he stuck out his leg against Vegas and blocked a shot. It`s just a little thing, but it relaxes the guys, ” said head coach Gerard Gallant.

After the game with Vegas, the Rangers faced Colorado (2:1). Panarin also made one memorable defensive comeback in this game when he knocked down the stick of Charles Hudon, who was preparing to take a shot at Igor Shesterkin.
