Jeff Van Gundy: LeBron is responsible for the Lakers` roster and poor season 29.07.2024

Well-known coach and ESPN commentator Jeff Van Gundy believes that Lakers forward LeBron James is largely to blame for the situation he finds himself in.

LeBron will have good stats. But at his level, it’s more about how much a person brings victory closer. The Lakers haven`t looked their best over the last couple of years. Maybe it`s not his fault. But this is his responsibility. This is how he is assessed. He set this incredible standard himself.

James is still a great individual player, more on offense than defense. But the Lakers aren`t very good. And he is part of it. He played a big role in the lineup of the team. “He’s in a tough spot, ” said Jeff Van Gundy.
