Anton Shipulin appreciated the idea to name the parks and sports facilities in honor of Ovechkin. On April 6, Captain Washington Alexander Ovechkin became the NHL record holder by goals in regular championships, surpassing the achievement of Wayne Gretzka.
- now there are proposals, including from the State Duma, to name streets, parks, sports facilities in honor of Ovechkin. Does he deserve this?
- Of course. More sports objects are needed in his honor. I heard that there are already sports areas of his name. This is done not to proport it, but to motivate young athletes.
If the youth will engage in the Ovechkin complex, they will have more motivation for training, responsibility, they will be proud of Alexander.
The more objects it will be named after Ovechkin, the better. I see nothing bad if the parks and other infrastructure facilities are named in his honor, ”said Anton Shipulin, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the world of biathlon.
