Latvian Ernest Gulbis beat Mardy Fish 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 in the finals of the tournament in Los Angeles and won the second title in his career.

American Mardy Fish struggled to win a second consecutive title after success in Atlanta a week ago and started the final well, winning the first set. Then Gulbis however improve the level of his game and took the second part.

Lett lead with two breaks and 5-1 in the decisive set and stopped the late momentum of your opponent to close the game for 2 hours and 43 minutes. "This victory means a lot to me, gives me much confidence. Mardy is number 9 in the world and I played a good game against him," said Gulbis happy after the match. Triumph in Los Angeles helped to save Lett jump of 29 positions in the world rankings and today it occupies the 55th place.

Mardy Fish also move up one spot and is now No. 8 in the world. Ukrainian Alexander Dolgopolov surprise local hope Marin Cilic of the tournament in Umag, Croatia and won the title after winning 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 in the final. This was the first tournament title in a series of ATP for 22-year Dolgopolov.
